Cybersecurity

BTI has extensive experience in cybersecurity, having implemented NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-37 security controls for over 200 applications and performed enterprise vulnerability scanning and management for six years at TTB. We support federal agencies by managing their Cyber Incident Response Centers (CIRC), ensuring compliance with federal security standards while protecting sensitive information.

Cloud Solutions

BTI has extensive operational experience planning and transitioning on-premises systems and solutions to the cloud. Our provisioning experience includes cloud-based systems and storage across Hybrid Clouds, Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS.

FISMA Compliance Support

BTI helps agencies maintain an updated inventory of IT systems and track integrations between them, including systems not under their direct control. We support agency-selected controls in a System Security Plan per NIST 800-53 rev 5.1.1, conduct risk assessments and map threats to mitigating controls per NIST 800-30, and establish continuous monitoring plans against ever-changing external and internal threats.

Zero Trust Architecture

Static perimeter defenses are no longer sufficient to protect valuable federal data. Zero trust means no user or asset is trusted, and modernizing networks must separate authentication and authorization. BTI has a complete set of tools and expert practitioners to upgrade networks — increasing risk awareness, visibility, and continuous access verification while maintaining least-privileged access.

Managed Services

BTI has an extensive background solutioning and providing managed services to Federal customers for improved operational efficiency and effectiveness while reducing cost and operational risk. We utilize an ITIL v4 and ITSM framework for service management and delivery of IaaS, SaaS, DaaS and PaaS, with tools such as Dynamics 365, ServiceNow and Salesforce.

Software Development

BTI has 25 years of experience developing mission-critical systems and applications utilizing a variety of methodologies, including Waterfall, Client-Server, and Agile Development with DevSecOps. Our solutions conform to CMMI Level 3 for Software Development maturity and deployment and follow ITIL standards and ITSM service management processes and controls.
